The Republican primary for Broome County district attorney on New York’s southern line bears watching Tuesday, as incumbent District Attorney Mike Korchak seeks reelection against longtime defense attorney F. Paul Battisti.

Korchak defeated Battisti by just 56 votes in the 2019 general election, after Battisti had actually won the Republican primary, but then Korchak flipped to the Libertarian Party line to facilitate his slim victory.
