After a 14-day trial in October 2021, the three defendants were convicted on all indictment counts charging them with conspiracy and substantive counts of mail and wire fraud and embezzlement from employee benefit funds.

The charges arose from defendants’ participation, between 2011 and 2017, in a fraud scheme to evade payroll contributions to certain funds benefitting employees of New York construction firm Navillus Contracting.
