The global publishing company Macmillan is facing a proposed class action from three former employees, who say they and over 19,000 others were harmed during a data breach that went undetected by the company for over nine days in 2022.

Plaintiffs Victoria Batchelor, Diana Griffin and Jaime Ariza filed suit against the publisher and related entities in Manhattan Supreme Court on Friday, claiming the company failed to protect the highly sensitive personal identifiable information of current and former employees.
