After 10 years in prison, defendant returned to crime in 2003. In 2005, he was arrested after a series of robberies and a superseding indictment was issued. In February 2007 ,defendant pleaded guilty to two counts of brandishing a firearm during Hobbs Act robbery.

On Nov. 2, 2007, he was sentenced to 32 years in prison, with credit for time served since Jan. 26. 2005. Granting relief under the First Step Act, the court reduced sentence to 20 years, with the balance of such reduced sentence being served in home confinement.
