Prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York asked a judge to issue an order limiting Sam Bankman-Fried’s extrajudicial statements late Thursday, hours after The New York Times published a story featuring comments written by his former colleague and girlfriend in diary-like Google Docs.

In the letter, assistant U.S. attorney Danielle Sassoon argued that Bankman-Fried is attempting to harass Caroline Ellison, who led Bankman-Fried’s crypto hedge fund Alameda Research and pleaded guilty to fraud charges in December. She is expected to testify at Bankman-Fried’s trial, which is currently scheduled for October.
