White-collar defense attorney Todd Blanche and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft are asking a judge to dismiss what they say is a “baseless” legal malpractice action brought against them in June, arguing that the plaintiffs are serial litigants whose lawsuit fails to state any basis for their claims.

Twin brothers Adam and Daniel Kaplan alleged malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty by Blanche and the firm in connection with their investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
