In his 12 years as head of the Federal Defenders of New York, David Patton and his colleagues represented clients accused of headline-grabbing crimes: terrorism, stealing government secrets, public corruption.

And as he looks forward to the next phase of his career, Patton will be right back in the courtroom for a trial sure to be in the news due to the notoriety of the defendant.
