The 60-year-old National Judicial College, the country's lone dedicated school for judges, will visit New York City on Thursday in part to highlight its long affiliation with the Empire State's judiciary.

Although New York opened a state-specific judicial education institute 20 years ago, and an association of New York magistrates meets yearly for an education program that is also well-regarded, from the distant campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, the NJC can often place local issues through a broader lens, a number of New York judges agreed.
