Anna Glick is an iconic figure within the commercial real estate securitization field and a trusted advisor to clients, in addition to being a valued colleague and instructive mentor for women coming up through the ranks. Her career has spanned 40 years; during this time, she has represented issuers and underwriters in billions of dollars of securities offerings, many of which have included novel structures and features. A senior counsel in Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft’s New York office, Anna is also a founder of the CREFC Women’s Network and a current Advisory Board Member—all of which propel her ongoing commitment to expanding the playing field for women professionals.

Anna’s career trajectory tells a story of integrity, passion for one’s work, and a persistent commitment to excellence. As a child immigrant who arrived in the United States with no knowledge of English, by age 10 she was assisting her father on weekends with distributing towels and sheets to residents of small NYC apartments, which she refers to as her entry to real estate. She joined Cadwalader at a time when the firm was helping to create new securitization structures that would eventually lead to the transformation of the business of real estate finance. As a young associate, Anna learned all the pieces in developing this new marketplace and, in the 40-plus years since, she has gained diverse experience in structured mortgage finance, having participated in innumerable public and private transactions. She’s been described by clients as “the hardest-working partner [they] know,” “extremely responsive,” and the person whom they come to with random hypotheticals.
