Twenty-nine percent of repeat test takers passed the July exam, a 6% increase from last year, while 35% off candidates who obtained their law degrees from outside the United States passed, a 1% increase.

The passing rate for the July administration of the New York bar exam held steady from last year for test takers from American Bar Association accredited schools and for all groups of candidates overall—at 85% and 66%, respectively.
