Citing the prevalence of remote work, two influential New York bar associations have come out in support of a measure that would lift the requirement that non-residents maintain a physical law office to practice in the Empire State.

The New York State Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association sent a joint letter to Gov. Kathy Hochul on Wednesday, asking her to sign into law the bill, numbered A2218/S3261.
