Former President Donald Trump this week dropped his effort to remove the Manhattan District Attorney’s criminal case against him to federal court, months after indicating he would appeal a Manhattan federal judge’s ruling returning the case to state court.

The deadline for Trump’s brief to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit was Wednesday, but on Tuesday, Trump’s attorney Gedalia Stern of NechelesLaw filed a motion to dismiss his client’s appeal.
