The New York State Unified Court System is seeking to permanently stay arbitration of a grievance filed by the New York City court reporter’s labor union, which alleges a member was improperly re-assigned from his post after approaching Donald Trump following the former president’s Manhattan criminal court arraignment.

The Association of Surrogate’s and Supreme Court Reporters Within the City of New York (ASSCR) filed a grievance with UCS on behalf of court reporter Randy Berkowitz, whose court part assignment was changed following his interaction with Trump on April 4.
