If New York's longtime legislative push to allow physician-assisted death passes through the Legislature in 2024, where it already has strong backing, there will be no shortage of roles for lawyers, says the state's largest bar association.
Hospitals, nursing homes, medical schools and other healthcare and residential care providers, along with physician practice groups will need counsel on the implementation of New York's latest version of the bill, said attorney Mary Beth Quaranta Morrissey.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
