Acting Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan has denied an omnibus motion from Donald Trump's defense team, paving the way for the former president's first criminal trial to begin in March.
Merchan announced his decision to deny the motion from the bench during a pre-trial conference in the case, but did not elaborate on his decision. The ruling was released later Thursday.
