The sponsor of a bill that aims to give New York municipalities authority to shutter illicit cannabis operators said the proposal has gained momentum as lawmakers continue to negotiate a final state budget.
State Assemblymember Jenifer Rajkumar, D-Queens, told reporters in Albany on Tuesday that she expects her SMOKEOUT Act bill to be included in the budget.
