On April 23, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued a rule banning non-competes nationwide and the new rule has quickly become the #1 topic of discussion among employment attorneys.

For some background, I've handled countless employment disputes for both companies and executives and on both the plaintiff and defense sides. I have a skilled focus on restrictive covenants and trade secret matters in particular and regularly litigate cases involving the movement of employees between competitors.

For the last several days, I've been busy responding to inquiries from clients and colleagues about how this new rule impacts contracts with employees and new hires, how it effects pending court cases and litigation strategy, and how companies can protect their goodwill and trade secrets going forward.
