The New York Senate on Monday, by a 58-1 margin, approved a bill to allow audio-visual recordings and still photography in state courthouses, the second year in a row it’s done so.
Bill sponsor state Sen. Brad Hoylman-Sigal, D-Manhattan, has often referenced former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial as a motivator for New York lawmakers to pass S160A/A712A.
