After nearly a decade leading O’Melveny & Myers’ U.S.-based M&A and private equity teams, partner Tobias Knapp has taken a job at Baker McKenzie as it looks to stock up on dealmakers hungry for a larger platform, the firm announced Tuesday.
Knapp officially started at Baker McKenzie on May 25 as co-head of its New York transactional group, coming on the heels of the firm’s acquisition of most of the corporate department of Los Angeles-based Munger, Tolles & Olson and the hiring of M&A and private equity partners in Frankfurt and San Francisco.
