The Office of New York State Attorney General Letitia James is appealing a recent trial court ruling that set battlelines in the western part of the state concerning a legal dispute with a coalition of anti-abortion centers, about a protocol that “reverses” the effects of a medication abortion pill called mifepristone.

James’ office recently asked the Appellate Division, Fourth Department, to review state Supreme Court Judge Sam L. Valleriani’s ruling that says the matter should be held in Rochester, rather than Manhattan, the AG’s preferred venue.
