Plaintiff Peggy-Rose Elango, a medical doctor who is African American, brought an action for alleged racial discrimination and fraudulent misrepresentation over her attempt to lease an available unit in the Trump Palace Condominium building, located in Midtown Manhattan on East 69th Street.
Elango alleged the unit was fraudulently advertised as a professional space that could be used as a medical office, and that her lease application was wrongfully rejected on the basis of race. Defendants moved for summary judgment.
