In a a case of first impression, Plaintiffs filed a lawsuit against Nassau County challenging the 2023 reconfigured map for the county's legislative districts, alleging that it amounted to gerrymandering and that the county violated the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act by trying to dilute the votes of Black, Asian and Latino residents.
