The District Attorneys Association of the State of New York recently gave a top award to a longtime downstate assistant who prosecuted separate homicide cases involving a Long Island father and stepmother who left an eight-year-old boy to die in freezing conditions in an unheated garage.

DAASNY’s other two top annual awards went to a retiring longtime Rochester-area DA who’s an advocate for court consolidation, and a New York City expert in rooting out narcotics.
