Progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez introduced articles of impeachment Wednesday for Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito Jr., a provocative move destined to fail in the Republican-controlled House but another sign of political backlash against the U.S. Supreme Court by the left.
The New York Democrat said in a statement that the ”unchecked corruption crisis on the Supreme Court” has “spiraled into a Constitutional crisis threatening American democracy writ large.”
