New York’s highest court on Thursday suspended, with pay, a judge from the southwestern part of the state who was arrested for allegedly driving drunk with a child in her vehicle.

Lindley Town Justice Julie Kuck of Steuben County had been charged by state police with aggravated driving while under the influence with a child under age 15, a felony, and misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol of more than .08% on June 14 during a  stop in the town of Erwin.
