The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled narrowly in favor of the National Labor Relations Board last week and against a New York hotel operator that had refused to bargain with a labor union over economic subjects.

In a 2-1 majority decision issued this past Friday, the D.C. Circuit upheld an NLRB administrative order requiring Troutbrook Company LLC to bargain with the New York Hotel and Motel Trades Council, AFL-CIO union in good faith on mandatory economic subjects.
