Motley Rice, one of the nation’s largest plaintiffs litigation firms, announced Thursday that it has added former veteran Department of Justice lawyer Franklin Amanat as a member attorney in New York.

Amanat joined Motley Rice two months ago from DiCello Levitt, where he had been a partner for four years. Before entering private practice, he served in the DOJ for just short of 24 years. Amanat said in an interview that he thinks plaintiffs firms have a lot of expertise to gain from hiring government lawyers.
