A longtime attorney seeking to dissolve a Rochester law firm for which he’s the lone remaining shareholder hasn’t been able to head off a federal New York lawsuit alleging a years-long practice of blending employee-contributed retirement funds with its general operating account.

The U.S. Department of Labor recently filed suit against the Law Office of John M. Regan Jr. PC, a holdover to the former Dibble & Miller firm, alleging the faulty practice was in effect for at least the past four years.
