Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis, which launched a New York office last year, is continuing to build in Manhattan, lately luring lateral partners from Am Law 100 firms.

The firm’s hires in August, including David Brooks from Paul Hastings and Brian Hail from Crowell & Moring, are part of an effort by the Los Angeles-based firm to create “premier transactional and litigation practices that continue to attract top talent” in New York, said Sandy Jacobson, the New York office’s operating partner and co-chair of the real estate practice group.
