The New York Office of Court Administration is a defendant in a claim that alleges security for a Hudson Valley courthouse negligently gave a court user’s cellphone to the wrong person, allowing for sexually intimate photos and videos on which they were stored to be published on social media.

On Thursday, the lawsuit filed by O’Connell and Aronowitz founding partner Stephen R. Coffey, stating claims for breach of contract, negligence and conversion, was assigned to Court of Claims Judge Christopher J. McCarthy.
