As the case against Alec Baldwin collapsed in cinematic fashion, you can't help but wonder whether the prosecution saw the irony of their situation.
There they were, seeking to convict an actor of a crime almost four years after an event—the 2021 shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding of director Joel Souza—that all agreed was a terrible, tragic accident.
