Practice Profile: Amanda Levine represents and defends news and entertainment companies in a broad spectrum of media and First Amendment litigation and content-related matters, ranging from intellectual property, defamation, records and courtroom access, privacy, right-of-publicity, libel, copyright, and trademark issues.
Leadership, Pro Bono and Civic Work: Since 2022, Amanda has worked with ProJourn, an initiative launched by Davis Wright Tremaine and Microsoft to provide pro bono legal advice to local journalists. As part of this initiative, she has provided pro-bono pre-publication review to numerous outlets, assisted in the filing of FOIL requests for local New York media organizations, and conducted trainings about defamation law for journalists across the country.
