Practice Profile: David is the Firm Managing Partner of Sanford Heisler Sharp and Co-Chair of the firm's Public Interest Litigation Practice Group. He is a litigator who advocates for his clients in discrimination and retaliation, wage and hour, civil rights, and employee benefit class action cases under ERISA. He devotes significant time to promoting civil and workers' rights through advocacy, including legislative advocacy and through the media.

Leadership, Pro Bono and Civic Work: David regularly engages in pro bono work and collaborates with non-profits. In the past year alone, among other collaborations, David collaborated with a non-profit to push New York to expand housing assistance to previously excluded groups of immigrants; he worked on another housing-related project with the same non-profit; and he represented four non-profits in an amicus brief filed with the Second Circuit. He also regularly volunteers to support civil and workers' rights legislation. In 2023 alone, David submitted at least seven testimonies and comments to federal, state, and/or local legislative and regulatory bodies in support of workers' rights and civil rights legislation. He also co-authored an op-ed advocating for the EmPIRE Worker Protection Act, a significant workers' rights bill.
