What are some of your proudest recent achievements? I am so proud and in awe of everything the firm continues to achieve. Our recent growth—both across practices and offices—has been the result of deliberate focus, and it has fostered fantastic collaboration across Gibson Dunn’s platform. Our teams achieve amazing results for our clients every day—working on monumental deals and securing wins in tribunals across the globe. Likewise, we have continued our dedication to serving others through our pro bono efforts, and our work in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space—both within Gibson Dunn and in the world beyond the firm’s walls. Being able to support and facilitate all of this work, and seeing our teams use their considerable talents to help our clients and communities, is an enormous source of pride.
Name a lawyer or mentor whose leadership inspired you. Dennis Friedman has been a mentor to me since I was a junior associate. Early in my career, we would attend meetings with senior attorneys, and Dennis would introduce me as his lawyer—giving me instant credibility in the room. He has always given me the space to make and follow my own path, while supporting me every step of the way.
