Counsel for fallen crypto exchange founder Sam Bankman-Fried on Friday filed their appeals brief, claiming that decisions by the trial judge hampered their ability to defend their client.
Bankman-Fried was found guilty of money laundering, conspiracy and fraud charges following a jury trial last year before U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan of the Southern District of New York.
