The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit has upheld Ghislaine Maxwell’s convictions, ruling Sept. 17 that a non-prosecution agreement in Florida didn’t bar prosecution in the Southern District of New York.

Maxwell, convicted of facilitating Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of women and girls between 1994 and 2004, was convicted of three sex trafficking charges in June 2022 in the New York federal court. She was sentenced to three concurrent prison terms, the longest of which is 20 years, and fined a total of $750,000.
