Federal prosecutors on Wednesday said additional criminal charges against Eric Adams could be forthcoming, while news separately broke that the New York City mayor's defense team is seeking to withdraw from his representation in an unrelated civil matter.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Hagan Scotten told U.S. District Judge Dale Ho of the Southern District of New York that additional charges against Adams and other defendants were "quite likely," but was unable to provide the judge with a precise timeline.
