Manhattan prosecutors have moved to consolidate the two indictments against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, arguing that holding separate trials would be inefficient and a waste of judicial resources.
A grand jury last month indicted Weinstein on one charge of criminal sexual act in the first degree. The embattled producer is also facing retrial on charges from 2018, including third-degree rape and first-degree criminal sex act.
