A New York State Supreme Court justice on Long Island who died Sunday in a motorcycle wreck is being remembered for making fair-minded, no-nonsense decisions, while being a friend to many in New York's legal community.

State Supreme Court Justice Dawn Jimenez-Salta, 60, was a passenger on a Harley-Davidson that crashed into the back of a sport utility vehicle on the Long Island Expressway in Yaphank, Suffolk County, on Sunday, court officials and police said.
