Harvey Weinstein will now face trial on a consolidated case sometime next year, following a decision on Wednesday from the New York judge overseeing the ailing mogul's sex crimes case.

The ruling by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Curtis Farber granted a motion by the Manhattan District's Attorney's Office to consolidate the 2018 and 2024 indictments, which prosecutors argued would reduce the burdens on the court system given the significant overlap in the evidence.
