On Oct. 10, 2023, a 52-year-old man named Anthony Lopez tried to steal a Hugo Boss jacket from the Macy's flagship store in Manhattan. When confronted by an employee in the building vestibule, Lopez brandished a knife. He was promptly placed under arrest. The jacket was recovered.
