Two of the judges who received the ratings told the New York Law Journal that they did not participate in the City Bar's evaluation process.

The New York City Bar Association rated four incumbent judges appearing on the general election ballot this year as "not approved" for re-election by the organization's judiciary committee.
The committee gave the ratings to Acting Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Louis Nock, who is running for another 10-year term for his seat on the Civil Court bench; Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Christopher Robles; Manhattan Civil Court Judge Jose Padilla Jr. and Bronx Civil Court Judge Brenda Rivera. Each of the judges is running opposed.
