As New York voters overwhelmingly passed an amendment cementing protections over the right to choose and additional civil-rights protections into the state Constitution, its Democratic governor and state attorney general announced Wednesday that they have mobilized for potential legal battles.
Those efforts were sparked by President-elect Donald Trump's latest victory, and the forthcoming changeover of the U.S. Senate to Republican control. The majority in the incoming House of Representatives was not determined by press time.
