A federal judge in New York has sentenced a German-Canadian man to two years in U.S. prison for stealing trade secrets from Tesla in order to build his own company in China.
Prosecutors alleged Klaus Pflugbeil, 59, and a co-defendant relied on trade secrets from a “leading U.S.-based electric vehicle company” to build their EV battery business in China, where Pflugbeil was a resident.
