The federal case against the man accused of gunning down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson is in conflict with the charges lodged against Luigi Mangione by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office earlier this week, his attorney told a judge on Thursday.
“Frankly, I’ve never seen anything like what is happening here,” Karen Friedman Agnifilo of Agnifilo Intrater told a U.S. Magistrate Judge as Mangione made his first appearance in a New York courtroom.
