Federal prosecutors have been slinging “false and unethical” comments since the advent of their public corruption case against New York City’s Mayor, Eric Adams’ attorney Alex Spiro told a judge.

Spiro’s reply came in response to a letter from prosecutors on Friday, accusing the Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan partner of crossing the line in his public comments and asking the judge to remind defense counsel not to violate obligations against public statements that could poison a jury pool.
