New York Gov. Kathy Hochul vetoed legislation that had aimed to allow persons who have completed their sentencing requirements on felony convictions to serve on juries.
Her action stands to shift a spotlight back onto the New York Civil Liberties Union's federal class action that seeks to lift the lifetime ban on jury duty for convicted felons.
