The social media company launched by President-elect Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against the purchaser representative in the $875 million acquisition that took the Trump venture public, alleging that it abused its role to extort $14 million from Trump Media & Technology Group.

In a complaint, Trump Media, represented by DLA Piper, claimed that RejuveTotal LLC breached its fiduciary duty to serve Trump Media’s best interests by racking up—and charging for—unnecessary expenses and fees, as well as pushing for a multimillion-dollar payment in exchange for ending its role as Trump Media’s purchaser representative.
