The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York banned the former head of MoviePass’ corporate parent from ever leading a U.S. public company, accepting a settlement resolving regulator allegations that he misled investors on the movie subscription service’s profitability.

U.S. District Judge Katherine Polk Failla signed off on the proposed judgment submitted by Theodore “Ted” Farnsworth and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.
