Boxing promoter Don King is facing a $3 billion lawsuit in the New York federal court from a sports manager who claims that King wrecked his efforts to put up an event in Nigeria commemorating the 50th anniversary of the “Rumble in the Jungle" heavyweight championship fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman.

Cecil Miller alleged that King defamed and defrauded him by sending out a cease-and-desist letter to everyone involved in the production of the anniversary event, weeks before the project was scheduled to take off during the 2024 Global Entrepreneurship Festival in Nigeria with a purported match between “Sugar” Shane Mosley and Victor Ortiz.
